When the weather starts to cool, there’s nothing better after dinner than this easy apple oatmeal cake.

It’s an old fashioned oatmeal cake, which if you’re not familiar is just a very dense, spiced cake made with oats, applesauce, and some simple cake ingredients! I love the way this cake makes my house smell!

And she has converted many people to baby lima beans. It's soft, cinnamony and topped with creamy cream cheese frosting. She’s a magician, i tell you.

This type of cake has been popular for years and has stood the test of time, but considering how good it is, i don’t think people (including me) make it nearly enough. 1 1/2 cups self rising flour (do not substitute) Let it cool, and add all other ingredients 1 at a time. We have made this cake alot over the past few years and it is always great.
